Playing members are encouraged to use our outdoor net facility. There are times when the nets are allocated to organised groups within the cricket club, and there are times when the nets are used by our partner organisations. During these periods there is no or limited access.
Please be aware of the following :-
– We require boys and girls under 12 to be supervised in the outdoor nets.
– Boys and girls must not use hard balls in the nets unless they are wearing all the required safety equipment (pads, abdominal protector, gloves and helmet).
– Lock the nets up if you leave them and are the last to exit, we require them to be locked up when not in use.
– Please be prepared to identify yourself and give evidence of your membership as these facilities are for MEMBERS ONLY.
In summer months from second week April till end August on midweek evenings between 6pm and 8pm the outdoor nets are in use by :-
– Junior age groups Monday, Tuesday and Friday
– Adults on Wednesdays and Thursdays
In school term time our partner organisation, The Mall School, uses the ground and the nets will be closed from 1pm to 4pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
In school holiday time we run cricket coaching camos and the nets are closed from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
