The final week of the season started with a win for the U10s away at Teddington. Mahad Hashimi (2-0-9-3) took 3 wickets in a 34-run Sunbury win.
An excellent display with the bat from Grace Mansfield (21 rtno off 20), Nick Byrne (22 off 17) and Avir Patel (26 rtno off 12) in the U13bs game against Hampton Wick Royal. However, unfortunately this wasn’t enough, and Hampton Wick Royal won by 7 wickets.
Monday 2nd September

Sunday 8th September
The most important game of the week saved to last, with the U15s playing against Ealing in the Middlesex League Playoffs Final!
A wet but sunny afternoon of cricket saw Sunbury winning the toss and deciding to bat first. An incredible start with the bat from Sunbury as Rishaan Mehmi hit a quick fire 17 off 11 in the powerplay. Aadit Unni batted fiercely scoring a magnificent 36 runs off 32 deliveries. A key 21 runs scored at the end of the innings from Zach Barnes got Sunbury to a final total of 133 runs.
A magic start from Rajveer Johal’s left arm in-swing saw him bowling 4 overs with 2 maidens for 15 runs taking 1 wicket. However, Ealing’s runs still came along at a good rate until Tom Goldney (4-0-15-2) came into the attack and bowled perfect areas taking 2 vital wickets and keeping the runs down. Albert Connors (4-0-18-2) continued his good form with an awesome caught and bowled to dismiss the Ealing settled batsman. Charlie Maunders (3-0-29-1) and Aadit Unni (3-0-15-1) kept the spin masterclass going leaving Ealing requiring 16 runs off the last over at 7 wickets down. Rajveer Johal bowled another spectacular over going for just 8 runs.
This meant that Sunbury U15s are Middlesex League Playoff Winners! Congratulations!
