Sunday 4th August
A massive County League Playoff Quarter Final win for the U14s, who did it in style beating Hampstead. After an extremely strong start with the bat scoring 148 runs, with Charlie Maunders smashing 51 off 42, it was looking good for the U14s. Every bowler then bowled exceptionally to keep Hampstead down to 111 all out.
The U13s battered Old Woking by 86 runs. A huge 164 run total was put on by Sunbury, which consisted off four retirements: Luca Brief (30 off 30), Arjan Thandi (30 off 28), Bobby Nash (32 off 23) and Adhayan Singh (30 off 18). Very neat bowling followed this to keep Old Woking to just 78 runs. Avir Patel (4-1-9-4).
Monday 5th August
Another giant win for the U14s who narrowly beat Esher in the Surrey County Cup Semi-Final! Once again Charlie Maunders batted beautifully to hit 40 rtno off 30 balls. Joshua Cholewa (23) and Albert Conners (19) scored key runs in the Sunbury innings taking the total to 126. After a good start from Esher needing just 36 runs off 42 balls with 6 wickets in hand, Sunbury had work to do.
It was a spectacular finish from Sunbury with plenty of dots, and wickets falling everywhere. Esher were held back by Sunbury, and still needed 12 runs off the last over with 1 wicket remaining. In the end a 4 run-win by Sunbury after an incredible comeback. Alfie Granger (4-0-17-4).
The U11 Girls destroyed Shepperton by 173 runs! Sunbury bowled first and took 13 wickets giving away just 41 runs (Net Score 56)! Brilliant! Hrisha Shah (2-2-0-4). Harri Wheeler smashed a rapid 40* off 16, as Sunbury scored 164/3 (Net Score 229).
Tuesday 6th August
The U12s took Ashford apart by 120 runs! Ridhaan Gala (22 off 17), Lucas Cholewa (20 off 20) and Eisa Hadi (23 off 9) all batted fiercely in the Sunbury innings scoring a total of 158 runs. Magnificent bowling and fielding from Sunbury left Ashford shocked after being bowled out for just 38 runs!
A thrashing from the U13 Girls against Esher, winning by 8 wickets in the Hundred Cup Quarter Final. Exceptional bowling from Sunbury kept Esher down to just 70 runs after their 100 balls. A calm chase from Sunbury chasing down the total in 46 balls losing only 1 wicket. Marvelous! Eveline Box (31*)
Wednesday 7th August
In the Middlesex South U11 Plate-Final, Sunbury demolished Hampton Wick Royal by 85 runs. Oliver Birch (64 off 56) and Ranveer Singh (38 off 33) took apart the Hampton Wick Royal bowlers setting a team score of 171/2. Excellent bowling from all the Sunbury bowlers, kept Hampton Wick Royal down to 86 runs! Thiyaan Dissanayake (3-0-17-3).
Thursday 8th August
The U15s are through to the Middlesex County League Playoffs Semi-Final after hammering Wycombe House. Tom Goldney smashed the Wycombe House bowlers all around the park hitting 88 runs off 61 deliveries! Rishaan Mehmi also quickly upped the run-rate scoring 44 off 22. This left the Sunbury total at 182 by the end of the innings. Wycombe House were unable to get anywhere near the target scoring just 74 runs before being bowled out.
The U14s lost against Teddington by 53 runs. Harry Kerridge (21*), Emma Gillespie (28 rtno), Nishkarsh Jain (30).
Friday 9th August
The U11s beat Wycombe House by 8 wickets. Oliver Birch (31 rtno).
