A 72-run win for the U8s against Shepperton.
Monday 8th July
An impressive score of 201 was put on by the U12s against Chertsey. Eisa Hadi (30) and Harry Morris (30) both retired not out. Brilliant bowling from the U12s to bowl Chertsey out for 109.
The U14 Girls set a target of 151 against Richmond. Eloise Phillips (41) and Emma Gillespie (43) both retired not out. Richmond were unable to reach the revised target (due to rain) and finished 67 for 4 after 10 overs.
Wednesday 10th July
Destructive batting from the U14s against Horsley & Send, as Charlie Maunders (42 off 32), Daniyal Ahmed (43 off 31), Rishaan Mehmi (40 off 20) and Ayush Obhrai (43 off 22) all retired not out. This led to the U14s scoring 196 and winning by 104 runs.
The U14 XI defeated Weybridge by 53 runs. Nishkarsh Jain and Samarth Sheth both retired not out on 30 runs setting a Sunbury total of 105.
Thursday 11th July
A Semi-Final victory for the U14s against Wycombe House. Alfie Granger (4-1-4-3) and Joshua Cholewa (3-0-9-1) opened the bowling taking key wickets and keeping the runs down. Albert Conners (4-0-8-3) continued the brilliant start taking another 3 wickets. The Target of 76 runs was calmly chased down by Sunbury in 10.4 overs.
Friday 12th July
An extremely close encounter for the U14s against Sheen Park. Winning the toss, the U14s put Sheen Park in to bat first and kept them to 155 for 6. Harry Kerridge set a strong foundation for the Sunbury innings scoring an impressive 46 runs.
The nail-biting chase went down to the final ball of the last over. With 1 run needed to win, Liam O’Connor and Albert Connors held their nerve to sprint a single to win the game.
