We were delighted to host the Calcutta Cricket Academy touring side on Tuesday 16th August for a T20 game.

The Sunbury XI featured a mix of first team seniors and young Academy players. The Calcutta Academy team included aspiring young players from across India who attend college in the Calcutta area.

Sunbury batted first and posted a decent 198. Calcutta were chasing for 11 overs before some loud rumbles of thunder overhead caused the Umpires to abandon the game for safety.

Despite the early end to the match, it was a pleasure to welcome the Calcutta Academy and we very much hope they will visit Sunbury again in the future.
